Introduction

1. Standard background and technical evolution

GB/T22342-2022 "Design, installation, operation, testing and maintenance of downhole safety valve systems for petroleum and natural gas drilling and production equipment" was issued in 2022, replacing the old standard in 2008. The new standard has made a number of technical improvements on the original basis, including adding structural requirements for plug-in downhole safety valves, optimizing the installation steps of ground-controlled downhole safety valves, and strengthening the fault reporting mechanism.
