Scope

This International Standard provides guidance for designing and implementing environmental performance evaluations within an organization. It works for any organization, regardless of type, size, geography and complexity. This standard does not establish specific environmental performance levels. It is not a prescriptive standard for certification or registration, or to establish any other environmental management system compliance requirements.
