本标准对滚动轴承在使用中发生失效的特征、外观变化及可能的原因进行了定义、描述和分类,以有助于对各种形式的外观变化和失效加以理解。
对于本标准,术语滚动轴承失效系指由于缺陷或损伤而使轴承不能满足预定的设计性能要求。
本标准仅对那些具有非常明确的外观,并且能够非常确定地归因于某一特定原因的外观变化和失效模式加以考虑,并对反映轴承变化和失效的那些特别重要的特征加以描述。各种失效模式用照片和图表说明,并且给出了最常见的原因。
在条标题中只给出了常见的失效模式名称,而其相似的表述或同义词,则在标题后面的括号中给出。


Scope

This standard defines, describes and classifies the failure characteristics, appearance changes and possible causes of rolling bearings in use, so as to help understand various forms of appearance changes and failures. This standard is only applicable to the appearance changes and failure modes that have a very clear appearance and can be attributed to a specific cause with certainty, and describe those particularly important features that reflect the bearing changes and failures.
