Scope

This standard specifies the method for the determination of the haze of films used in liquid crystal displays (LCD). This standard is applicable to the haze determination of triacetylcellulose (TAC) film, polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) film and optical grade polyethylene terephthalate (PET) film for liquid crystal display (LCD). This standard is also applicable to the determination of the haze of triacetate cellulose (TAC) films with different thicknesses for ophthalmic lenses.
