Scope
This standard specifies the definition and naming, symbols and units, manufacturing requirements, physical characteristics, type test and procedures and signs, instructions for use, packaging, storage, inspection rules and other requirements of pipeline pressure reducers used in welding, cutting and similar processes. This standard is applicable to the single-stage and double-stage pipes that adjust the pressure of cylinder compressed gas or methylacetylene-propadiene mixture (MPS) and dissolved acetylene to the main pipe with a pressure of less than 30 MPa to the required output pressure. This standard does not apply to the pressure reducer directly installed on the gas cylinder described in GB/T 7899.
