Scope

This standard specifies the basic environmental conditions, test methods and inspection rules for the transportation and storage of instruments and meters. This standard applies to all kinds of instruments and meters that are packaged, transported and stored. For products with special storage and transportation requirements, their product standards may be specified separately.
