Scope
This part of GB/T 26237 specifies the concepts and data formats used in the minutiae-based fingerprint representation in GB/T 26237. This section is also generic and can be used in areas involving automatic fingerprint identification. GB/T 26237 also includes definitions of related terms, description of how to determine details, format of data required for general use and card use, and compliance information. The steps, values and decision parameters used for matching are provided in the appendices of this section. Although the fingerprint and palmprint image data are included in GB/T 26237.4, this part only includes fingerprint minutiae and does not apply to palmprint.
