Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions for retreading of pneumatic tires, and the tire retreading process. It does not include the mastication and mixing process of rubber for retreading tires; it does not include the production process of materials such as pre-vulcanized tread and pre-vulcanized buffer rubber. This standard applies to the retreading of pneumatic tires for trucks, cars, and construction machinery, but not for retreading of pneumatic tires with belt replacement and retreading of solid tires.
