Scope

This part of GB/T 26946 specifies the additional stability test for verifying the side-mounted forklifts (hereinafter referred to as forklifts) for handling empty or fully loaded freight containers with a length of 6 m or more. This part specifies additional tests for the contents listed in GB/T 26946.1. The stability tests included in this section can ensure that the forklifts handling freight containers have sufficient stability when stacking operations under the condition of wind speed not exceeding 12.2 m/s (Beaufort wind scale 6). If the forklift works at a higher wind speed, the replacement rated value can be obtained by substituting a higher w value in the formula in 3.4.3. This section does not apply to the following situations: a) Handling of suspended loads that can swing freely; b) The center of gravity of the handling container will move (see GB/T 17382). The tests specified in this section have considered the possible eccentric loads of containers specified in GB/T 17382 under normal conditions. When handling empty refrigerated containers with integrated refrigeration units specified in GB/T 7392, load offsets should be considered.
