Introduction
1. Standard Overview
GB/T 27697-2024 Vertical Hydraulic Jack is the latest revised national standard, applicable to vertical hydraulic jacks with a rated lifting capacity not exceeding 500 tons. Compared with the old version, the new standard has made many improvements in technical requirements, test methods and safety specifications, especially in terms of safety, reliability and durability.
2. Comparison of standard frameworks
| Standard dimensions | Old version GB/T 27697—2011 | Newly revised GB/T 27697—2024 |
|---|---|---|
| Definition of terms | Electrical safety requirements for electric jacks are not clarified | Electrical safety requirements for electric jacks (GB/T 5226.32) are added |
| Technical parameters | Detailed parameters of multi-stage piston rod types are not covered | Example diagrams of multi-stage piston rod types and typical parameter ranges are added |
| Test method | High and low temperature environment test requirements are not included | New high and low temperature working performance test requirements (-20℃ to 50℃) |
3. Practical application case
Case analysis: A mechanical processing plant used a multi-stage piston rod type jack to conduct a dynamic load test under a rated lifting capacity of 100 tons. The test results showed that its vertical descent was 0.7mm within 1 minute, which met the requirements of Clause 5.9 of GB/T 27697-2024.
4. Interpretation of technical requirements
The new standard has comprehensively upgraded the technical requirements for jacks, including:
- Safety: The electrical safety specification for electric jacks has been added (Clause 5.18), and the power limit for the car cigarette lighter has been clarified (≤120W).
- Reliability: The test requirements for limit devices and oil return valves have been strengthened to ensure that there is no permanent deformation or oil leakage in the static load test at 1.5 times the rated load.
- Durability: The requirements for continuous working times have been raised, and single-stage piston rod type jacks below 20 tons need to complete 100 full-stroke reciprocating lifting tests.
5. Test methods and inspection rules
The new standard refines the test methods, including:
- Visual inspection: Including appearance quality, sealing effect and anti-slip structure of the bearing surface.
- Safety valve test: Detect the opening load of the safety valve under rated load to ensure that it is within the range of 1Gn~1.15Gn.
- Stability test: Carry out dynamic load test on a hard bearing surface with an inclination of 5° to verify the anti-overturning ability of the jack.
6. Implementation suggestions
To ensure the effective implementation of the new standard, it is recommended that:
- Manufacturers should update their production equipment and test equipment to meet the requirements of the new standard.
- Include detailed instructions for use in the product packaging, and specially mark the electrical schematic diagram (applicable to electric jacks).
- Strengthen employee training to ensure that operators are familiar with the safety regulations and technical requirements of the new standards.
