Scope

This International Standard provides guidance on procedures and methods for continual improvement to support effective and efficient improvement of the performance of an organization's management system. It can be used by organizations that need to: — identify problems in products supplied to customers and adopt consistent procedures - to implement and manage breakthrough projects, including changing existing processes or introducing new processes that differ from day-to-day operations; - to develop future resources that are different from day-to-day operations. This International Standard applies to all organizations, regardless of their type of operation, status, size or products they offer. This International Standard is intended to improve the performance of an organization's management system by implementing effective and efficient continual improvement.
