Scope

This standard specifies a test method for the hydrolysis and non-hydrolysis of anionic active substances in detergents under acidic conditions. This standard is applicable to the types of active substances including alkyl sulfates, alkylphenol ether sulfates and fatty alcohol ether sulfates. If the active substance content is expressed in mass fraction, the average relative molecular mass of the two types of surfactants must be known or determined in advance. If the detergent contains an oxidizing agent, it must be destroyed before hydrolysis.
