Scope
This standard specifies the basic requirements for trapezoidal thread taps (high-performance grade and common grade), type and size, thread tolerance, technical requirements, marking and packaging. This standard applies to trapezoidal thread taps (hereinafter referred to as taps) used for processing common trapezoidal threads (GB/T 5796.1 ~ GB/T 5796.4). The types of taps are divided into type I (short type) and type II (long type).
