GB/T28773-2024 Technical requirements and standard interpretation of toothed wedge belts

1. Standard revision background and technology evolution analysis

Since the first release of this standard in 2012, with the advancement of industrial technology and changes in market demand, the original technical specifications can no longer fully meet the requirements of modern transmission systems. This revision has comprehensively updated GB/T28773-2012, with improvements mainly in the following aspects:

  • Added dimensional parameters of R12M series toothed wedge belts
  • Optimized the technical requirements for H and S type toothed wedge belts
  • Supplemented new test methods and inspection rules
  • Added requirements for marking, packaging, transportation and storage

2. Interpretation of technical requirements

According to GB/T28773-2024, the technical requirements of toothed wedge belts are mainly reflected in the following aspects:

2.1 Appearance quality

Belt wedges and belt teeth should not have defects such as distortion, cracks, bubbles, etc. Specific requirements include:

  • More than 3 consecutive pores or bubbles are unqualified
  • The diameter of a single pore shall not exceed 0.8mm
  • The tooth surface should be flat and free of damage

2.2 Physical Properties

Tensile strength and tooth shear strength are important indicators for measuring the quality of toothed wedge belts:
