Scope

This standard specifies the product classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and signs, packaging, transportation and storage of cold-cathode low-pressure mercury vapor discharge ultraviolet germicidal lamps. This standard applies to double-ended or single-ended or self-ballasted cold-cathode ultraviolet germicidal lamps produced with quartz glass or other purple-transparent glass, with or without ozone, and with a peak ultraviolet radiation wavelength of 253.7 nm.
