Scope
This standard specifies the basic requirements for terms and definitions, technical requirements, tests and inspections of steam turbines for geothermal power generation (hereinafter referred to as geothermal steam turbines) and their main auxiliary equipment. This standard applies to stationary steam turbines for power generation that use geothermal fluids as working fluids to drive generators. This standard does not apply to the following geothermal steam turbines: a) Two-phase flow rotary turbines that directly use geothermal fluid as working fluid. b) A steam turbine that uses geothermal fluid to heat a low-boiling point organic working fluid as a working medium.
