本标准与ＧＢ／Ｔ２８９９―１９９６的主要技术差异如下：
―――取消了Ⅱ类膏状指标（１９９６版４．２，本版４．２）；
―――将吸油量指标的范围调整为（１０～３０）ｇ／１００ｇ（１９９６版４．２，本版４．２）；
―――粒径分布的测定改用激光粒度测定仪（１９９６版６．１２，本版５．１２）；
―――本标准检验分类分为型式检验和出厂检验（本版６．１）。

1 Scope

This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, labeling, packing, transportation and storage of barium sulphate precipitated for industrial use.
This standard is applicable to barium sulphate precipitated for industrial use. This product is mainly used in coating, printing ink, pigment, rubber, battery, plastic, coated paper and other industries.
