Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, markings, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and marking, packaging, transportation and storage requirements of seat lift gas springs. This standard applies to lockable gas springs (hereinafter referred to as gas springs) that use nitrogen or other inert gases as the energy storage medium for seat lift adjustment. Lifting and rotating return gas springs can be implemented with reference to this standard.
