Introduction
1. Scope and applicability of the standard
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, technical requirements, inspection and measurement methods, and operating requirements for energy-saving operation of steel rolling heating furnaces. It is applicable to heating furnaces newly built, expanded or renovated in the steel rolling process of steel enterprises, and other types of heating furnaces can also be implemented as a reference.
2. Key terms and definitions
| Terms | Definition |
|---|---|
| Unit heat consumption | The chemical heat of fuel required per ton of steel to heat the billet to the target outlet temperature. |
| Full furnace thermal efficiency | The heat required to heat the billet to the target temperature as a percentage of the fuel chemical thermal energy supplied to the heating furnace. |
| High-temperature air combustion | The technology of preheating the combustion air to above 800℃ to participate in combustion. |
3. Technical requirements and energy-saving indicators
Depending on the different billet heating temperatures, there are different requirements for unit heat consumption and full furnace thermal efficiency. The following is a comparison of energy-saving indicators in different temperature ranges:
| Bill heating temperature/℃ | Secondary requirements | First-level requirements |
|---|---|---|
| 1050~1150 | Unit heat consumption ≤1.2 GJ/t, whole furnace thermal efficiency ≥62% | Unit heat consumption ≤1.0 GJ/t, whole furnace thermal efficiency ≥65% |
| 1150~1250 | Unit heat consumption ≤1.3 GJ/t, whole furnace thermal efficiency ≥60% | Unit heat consumption ≤1.1 GJ/t, whole furnace thermal efficiency ≥62% |
| >1250 | Unit heat consumption ≤1.4 GJ/t, whole furnace thermal efficiency ≥58% | Unit heat consumption ≤1.2 GJ/t, whole furnace thermal efficiency ≥60% |
4. Implementation Suggestions
The application of high temperature air combustion technology can significantly improve combustion efficiency and reduce pollutant emissions. For example, by using this technology in silicon steel heating furnaces, the unit heat consumption can be reduced by more than 5%, while meeting the requirement of residual oxygen content ≤3%.
The application of vaporization cooling system can effectively recover steam and improve energy utilization. It is recommended that enterprises ensure the thermal insulation performance of the water beam in the furnace when installing such systems, and regularly check the spraying effect of energy-saving coatings (energy saving rate ≥ 2%).
