Introduction
1. Background and significance of the standard
Eye-splitting Cole (scientific name: Coleogramma_temminckii) is an important economic fish species, widely distributed in the Yangtze River and offshore areas. With the increase in natural fishing pressure and changes in the aquatic environment, its resources are facing severe challenges.
This standard was proposed by the Ministry of Agriculture of the People's Republic of China and is managed by the National Technical Committee for Aquatic Products Standardization. It aims to standardize the artificial breeding technology process of eye-splitting Cole to ensure the quality of seedlings and the sustainable development of the industry.
2. Key technologies for broodstock breeding
| Gender | Age at first spawning (years) | Suitable breeding age (years) | Age for elimination (years) | Weight range (g) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Female | 3 | 4-5 | ≥6 | ≥150 |
| Male | 3 | 4-5 | ≥6 | ≥120 |
Note: The data in the table are key indicators for artificial breeding of ectenes. The matching of body weight and age directly affects the breeding effect.
Broodstock cultivation conditions
- Pond depth: 2.0m~2.5m, area 500m²~1000m²
- Water quality requirements: Meet NY5361 (fresh water) or NY5362 (seawater) standards
- Salinity control: Gradually increase to 2%, maintain for 2 months and then slowly decrease to 0
- Water flow control: Maintain a flow rate of 0.6m/s~1m/s for 20 days before induction of spawning
3. Key points of breeding technology
Induction of spawning and injection dosage
| Oxytocin combination | Female fish dosage | Male fish dosage (halved) |
|---|---|---|
| Carp pituitary gland (PG) + LHRH-A2 + HCG | 2mg/kg~5mg/kg + 4μg/kg~8μg/kg + 200IU/kg~600IU/kg | Same dose, halved |
Note: The accurate use of oxytocin is crucial to the success rate of reproduction. It is recommended to operate under the guidance of professional technicians.
Embryonic development management
- Incubation time: 28h~36h at 20℃~24℃
- Incubation density: 3000~4000 grains/L
- Post-embryonic management: 5 hours after hatching, transfer to another hatching tank, and control the density at 1000~1500 grains/L
4. Recommendations for fry and fingerling cultivation
Pond selection and preparation
- Fry pond: 1.2m~1.5m deep, 400m²~800m² area
- Finger pond: 2.0m~2.5m deep, 400m²~3000m² area, equipped with temperature control facilities
5. Disease Prevention and Control Strategies
Common Diseases and Prevention and Control Methods
| Disease Name | Pathogen | Symptom Description | Prevention and Control Measures |
|---|---|---|---|
| Saprolegniasis | Saprolegnia | Gray-white flocs appear on the body surface and swimming is slow | Raise the water temperature to 27℃, bath in salt water + sodium bicarbonate |
Note: Disease prevention and control should focus on prevention, monitor water quality indicators regularly and deal with abnormal situations in a timely manner.
6. Implementation Suggestions
- Pond Preparation: Clean and disinfect the pond strictly in accordance with the standards to ensure harmless treatment
- Bait Management: Provide appropriate bait (such as rotifers, cladocerans) according to different development stages
- Water Quality Monitoring: Regularly test dissolved oxygen, pH value and concentration of harmful substances to maintain stable water quality
