Introduction
1. Standard Overview
GB/T 34730—2017 "Broodstock and Fry of Coilia nasus" was proposed by the Ministry of Agriculture of the People's Republic of China and is mainly applicable to the quality assessment of broodstock and fry of Coilia nasus (Coilia nasus Temminck et Schlegel, 1846). This standard specifies the terms and definitions, quality requirements, inspection methods, inspection rules and transportation requirements of broodstock and fry.
2. Standard Framework Comparison
| Chapter | Main Content | Requirements | Inspection Methods |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1. Scope | Specifies the terms and definitions, quality requirements, etc. of broodstock and fry of Coilia nasus. | The scope of application is clear, including wild and artificially cultivated individuals. | As long as it meets the standards. |
| 4. Broodstock | Source, germplasm, breeding age and weight, appearance, and breeding period characteristics. | Comply with the provisions of SC/T 1127, and the weight requirement is ≥150g (female) and ≥100g (male). | Implemented in accordance with GB/T 18654.3. |
| 5. Seedlings | Quality requirements for fry and fingerlings, including appearance, disability rate, specifications, etc. | Free of infectious diseases such as saprolegniasis, and the specifications are divided into multiple grades. | In accordance with GB/T 18654.3 and NY 5070. |
3. Background of Standard Implementation and Technological Evolution
This standard is formulated based on the development needs of the aquaculture industry, combining the ecological characteristics of wild knife fish and the progress of artificial breeding technology. In recent years, with the rapid development of aquaculture, the quality requirements for broodstock and seedlings have been continuously improved. The introduction of this standard fills the gap in related fields.
4. Implementation Suggestions
Choose broodstock:Preferably select wild individuals caught in natural waters such as the Yangtze River or sexually mature individuals cultivated artificially, and ensure that the germplasm meets the requirements of SC/T 1127.
Seedling cultivation:Pay attention to the control of common diseases such as Saprolegniasis and bacterial gill rot, and conduct sampling inspection and testing according to the requirements of the standard.
Transportation requirements: Parent fish should be transported immediately after being caught to shorten the rearing time; feeding of seedlings should be stopped for more than 24 hours before transportation to ensure that the temperature difference between transportation water and culture water does not exceed 2°C.
