1. Standard Overview and Background Analysis

GB/T32841-2016 "Gold Ore Sampling and Preparation Methods" stipulates the manual sampling and sample preparation methods of gold ore, which is applicable to the chemical composition, moisture and selectivity tests of rock gold ore samples mined in open pits and underground mines. The standard was proposed and managed by the National Gold Standardization Technical Committee, and the main drafting units include Changchun Gold Research Institute, etc.

3. Recommendations for the implementation of the standard

Operational process optimization: In actual sampling, the systematic sampling method (such as sampling on a belt conveyor) should be used first to ensure the representativeness and uniformity of the sample. For ore with larger particle size, it is recommended to perform pre-crushing before sampling.

Equipment selection: It is recommended to use a combination of a jaw crusher and a double-roll crusher during the sample preparation process to ensure the sample fineness requirement (-2mm). At the same time, the constant temperature drying oven should be controlled at 105℃±5℃ to ensure the accuracy of moisture determination.
