Introduction
1. Background and significance of the standard
GB/T32840-2016 Gold Ore is an important standard for my country's gold industry, aiming to unify the classification, quality requirements and testing methods of gold ores. The standard was proposed by the National Gold Standardization Technical Committee and formulated in combination with the characteristics of my country's gold ores and market demand to ensure that product quality meets national safety production and environmental protection requirements.
2. Comparison of standard frameworks
| Standard dimensions | GB/T32840-2016 | International integration | Domestic application characteristics |
|---|---|---|---|
| Classification method | Classified by origin and process, and six types are clarified | In line with international standards for cyanidation and flotation | Combined with domestic ore characteristics, the processing difficulty classification is refined |
| Chemical composition requirements | Clear gold grade and harmful element restrictions | Comply with international precious metal testing standards | Emphasis on environmental protection requirements, strict control of arsenic, mercury and other contents |
| Test methods | Specify the steps of selectivity test and chemical analysis | Coordinate with GB/T20899 | Optimize the moisture determination process in light of national conditions |
3. Interpretation of the core content of the standard
3.1 Classification and grading
Gold ore can be divided into two categories according to its origin: domestic and imported. It can be divided into six types according to the process, including heap leaching type and easy-to-treat cyanidation type. Each type is further divided into grades according to its chemical composition (see Table 1). The degree of difficulty is determined based on the direct cyanide gold leaching rate:
- Mild: ≥30%
- Medium: <30%
- Severe: <10%
3.2 Chemical composition requirements
Domestic gold ore must meet the gold grade specified in Table 1, and imported ore should focus on controlling the content of harmful elements (mercury, arsenic, etc.) (see Table 2). Chemical analysis methods refer to GB/T20899.
3.3 Particle size and moisture
The maximum particle size of domestic ore is ≤350mm, and that of imported ore is ≤20mm. The moisture content must be ≤14% to ensure safe transportation and storage.
4. Implementation Suggestions
4.1 Classification and Inspection Process
It is recommended that enterprises choose appropriate classification methods according to the properties of the ore to ensure the accuracy of the testing equipment. For special requirements for particle size and moisture, the testing method should be clearly agreed upon with the supplier.
4.2 Quality Control
- Establish a sound quality management system and clarify the responsible persons in each link
- Strengthen the frequency of testing of chemical composition and harmful elements
- Optimize ore processing technology and reduce secondary pollution
4.3 Standard Promotion and Training
It is recommended to organize standard learning and technical exchanges regularly to ensure that relevant personnel are familiar with the requirements of GB/T32840-2016. Focus on training on chemical analysis and particle size detection methods.
