Introduction

1. Standard Overview

"Technical Specification for Treatment and Disposal of Zinc-containing Waste" (GB/T 33055-2016) is a technical standard for the treatment and disposal of zinc-containing waste generated in the chemical, metallurgical, electroplating and other industries. This standard specifies the terminology, treatment methods and environmental protection requirements of zinc-containing waste, and provides scientific guidance for the resource utilization of zinc-containing waste.

2. Treatment and disposal methods

2.1 Wet recovery process

Process steps Main equipment Product indicators
Acid leaching, filtration, crystallization Reactor, filter press equipment, dryer Zinc sulfate (HG/T 2326), zinc nitrate (HG/T 3582), etc.

2.2 Pyrometallurgical recovery process

Pyrometallurgical recovery process is suitable for low-grade zinc-containing waste, and secondary zinc oxide products are mainly obtained through roasting reduction and gas phase oxidation. Its advantage lies in its high processing efficiency, but it has high requirements for high temperature resistance of the equipment.

3. Environmental protection requirements

The waste gas and wastewater generated during the treatment of zinc-containing waste must comply with the relevant emission standards of GB 31574. After the solid waste is classified and identified, the hazardous waste must be properly handled in accordance with the requirements of GB 18597 and HJ 2025.

4. Implementation suggestions

4.1 Process selection suggestions

  • Wet recycling is recommended for high-grade zinc-containing waste to obtain high value-added products.
  • Pyrometallurgy is preferred for low-grade waste to reduce processing costs.

4.2 Environmental management suggestions

  • Establish a complete waste gas and wastewater monitoring system.
  • Strengthen the classification management of waste residues to ensure compliance with regulations.
