Introduction
1. Background and significance of standard formulation
With the increasing demand for efficient non-destructive testing technology in the industrial field, the problem of internal scale accumulation in non-magnetic stainless steel pipes used in high temperature and high pressure environments such as power plant boilers has received increasing attention. The formulation of GB/T33207-2016 standard aims to provide a method based on magnetic detection to evaluate the accumulation of internal scale in in-service metal pipes.
2. Comparison of standard frameworks
| Standard dimensions | GB/T33207—2016 | International comparison |
|---|---|---|
| Scope of application | In-service non-magnetic stainless steel pipes, especially austenitic stainless steel pipes for power plant boilers | Close to international standards such as ASTM E709 |
| Detection principle | Magnetic detection method, using the magnetization effect of external magnetic field and oxide scale | Consistent with ISO 10863 technology |
| Sensitivity requirements | Signal changes significantly when the oxide scale mass is ≥0.3g | Meet the international non-destructive testing sensitivity standards |
3. Technical points and practical applications
Test system composition:
- Magnetic detector: Need to pass third-party certification, with high sensitivity and long battery life (≥8 hours).
- Oxide scale detection probe: Small and portable, suitable for high altitude and high dust environment.
- Data transmission line: Used for detection data collection and analysis.
Implementation steps:
- Benchmark value setting: Establish the detection threshold according to the pipe inner diameter ratio (1/4, 1/3, 1/2, etc.).
- Probe scanning: Maximum speed does not exceed 0.3m/s, avoid elbow areas or record their impact.
- Data processing: Upload to computer for analysis and evaluation.
