1. Background and significance of standard formulation

GB/T 33572—2017 "Manually hinged pressure-resistant watertight door" standard is to standardize the design, manufacturing and acceptance requirements of watertight doors used in marine engineering, special ships and other fields. With the development of the shipbuilding industry, the requirements for watertight performance are increasing day by day. The formulation of this standard provides an important basis for ensuring the safety of ships.

2. Classification and structural type of watertight doors

Watertight doors are divided into right-opening type (R type) and left-opening type (L type) according to the opening direction, which are suitable for different installation requirements. Its typical structure includes key components such as door frame, door panel, locking mechanism, and sealing strip.
