Interpretation of the core content of the standard

This standard systematically specifies the reliability test methods for LED lamps in terms of environmental adaptability, mechanical strength and light decay characteristics, including 14 types of special tests and 2 light flux maintenance life assessment schemes.

Luminous flux maintenance life calculation model

The standard provides two evaluation schemes:

  1. 1000h fast method: Calculated through LM-80 data, requiring △ts<5℃
  2. Direct test method: 6000h measured data fits exponential curve, calculation formula:
    Lp=1/α·ln(B/φ)

Implementation suggestions

Enterprise response strategy:

  • Prioritize the completion of the three basic tests in Chapters 5-7 (temperature cycle, power switch, accelerated life)
  • Outdoor lamps need to add temperature shock (-40℃~70℃) and damp heat test above IP65
  • For the luminous flux maintenance test, it is recommended to adopt modular pre-test to reduce R&D costs

Analysis of standard evolution

Key adjustments in the 2019 amendment:

  • Revise the expression of "LED module" to "LED light source"
  • Modify the life acceptance judgment condition (L1'≤L1)
  • Make it clear that the light decay calculation includes the attenuation component of the light source itself
