GB/T 33866-2017 "Solar Ultraviolet Radiation Measurement Broadband Ultraviolet Radiometer Method" is an important standard in my country's meteorological field. It mainly regulates the technical requirements and methods for measuring solar ultraviolet radiation using broadband ultraviolet radiometers. The standard was proposed by the China Meteorological Administration and is managed by the National Technical Committee for Standardization of Meteorological Instruments and Observation Methods.


2. Interpretation of the main contents of the standard

2.1 Basic definition of ultraviolet radiation

Ultraviolet radiation (UV) refers to electromagnetic radiation with a wavelength between 1 nm ~ 400 nm. According to the wavelength range, it can be divided into:

  • UV-A (315 nm ~ 400 nm)
  • UV-B (280 nm ~ 315 nm)
  • UV-C (100 nm ~ 280 nm)

2.2 Technical requirements for broadband ultraviolet radiation meters

Broadband ultraviolet radiation meters are professional instruments used to measure solar ultraviolet radiation. Their spectral range and type must meet the following requirements:
