1. Background and significance of the standard

GB/T 33903—2017 "Shade Ball Fully Automatic Solar Tracker for Scattered Radiation Measurement" was proposed by the China Meteorological Administration to standardize the technical indicators and test methods of scattered radiation measurement equipment to ensure its accuracy and reliability under different environmental conditions.

3. Technical Requirements and Practical Applications

Tracking Error:Under different solar radiation conditions, the maximum allowable tracking error of the device is 0.2° and 1.5° respectively. On-site testing can be carried out using the special tools in Appendix A to ensure that the accuracy meets the standards.

Capture Angle and Speed:The device must have a capture angle of at least 5° and be able to adjust in ≤10 seconds. This is crucial for accurately capturing the direction of solar radiation, especially in high irradiance environments.
