Introduction

1. Background and significance of the standard

GB/T 3407-2019 Petroleum Mixed Xylenes is an important standard for the petroleum industry, which mainly stipulates the product classification, technical requirements, test methods and safety specifications of petroleum mixed xylenes. This standard replaces the old version GB/T 3407-2010 and has made a number of revisions in response to industry development and technological progress, aiming to improve product quality and safety.

3. Interpretation of key technical requirements

Case analysis: total sulfur content determination

Total sulfur content is an important indicator for measuring the quality of petroleum mixed xylene. The new standard requires no more than $1~\mathrm{mg/kg}$. The determination method adopts the coulometric method (SH/T 0253) to ensure the accuracy and operability of the data. By strictly controlling the sulfur content, the risk of corrosion to equipment and the environment can be effectively reduced.

4. Safety and protection recommendations

Petroleum mixed xylene is a flammable liquid and toxic substance (GB13690). Safety regulations must be strictly observed during storage, transportation and use:
