Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, models, technical requirements and test methods, inspection rules and delivery preparation for electromagnetic brakes for motors. It is applicable to DC-excited dry friction sub-assembly brakes with a base outer diameter of no more than 400 mm and a braking torque of no more than 1 000 Nm.
