1. Standard Overview
GB/T 34475-2017 "Urea Grade Austenitic Stainless Steel Bar" standard specifies the classification and code, ordering content, size, shape, weight, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking and quality certificate of urea grade austenitic stainless steel bars. It is applicable to rolled or forged urea grade austenitic stainless steel bars with a nominal size not exceeding 400mm.

4. Technical Requirements and Performance Indicators
The allowable deviation of chemical composition shall comply with GB/T 222, and the mechanical properties and corrosion resistance shall meet the requirements of Table 1 and Table 2:

5. Implementation suggestions and quality control
To ensure the quality of urea grade austenitic stainless steel bars, the following measures are recommended:
- Chemical composition control: Use the out-of-furnace refining process to strictly control the C and N content.
- Heat treatment process: Solution treatment needs to be carried out at 1000~1100℃ to ensure uniform organization.
- Surface quality inspection: Use ultrasonic and visual inspection to avoid defects such as cracks and bubbles.
- Corrosion resistance test: Intergranular corrosion tests are carried out regularly to ensure compliance with GB/T 25151.3 requirements.
6. Application case analysis
A urea production equipment manufacturer selected S31792 grade stainless steel bars with a nominal size of φ80mm. After solution treatment, its tensile strength reached 485MPa and its elongation was 35%, which met the mechanical property requirements in Table 2. Through the intergranular corrosion test, the average corrosion rate was 2.8μm/48h, which met the requirements of GB/T 25151.3.
