Material Balance Calculation Specifications

The calcium-magnesium balance method is used to calculate the amount of furnace lining erosion, and the oxidation weight of molten iron elements is calculated according to the formula:

The relative error is allowed to be ≤5%, and 12 items of income materials and 8 items of expenditure materials must be included.

Implementation suggestions

  1. Test preparation phase: Equipment maintenance and instrument calibration need to be completed, and preliminary tests need to be carried out to verify the feasibility of the solution
  2. Data collection specifications: Furnace gas composition is sampled every 1-2 minutes, and molten steel temperature needs to be measured at multiple points using fast micro-thermocouples
  3. Error control: It is recommended to use the cross-validation method, combining DCS system data with manual measurement results

Technology evolution analysis

This standard extends the boundary of the heat balance system to the gas recovery system for the first time and introduces the calculation of the heat of the vaporization flue steam (Q14'), reflecting the development of modern converter waste heat utilization technology.
