National Standard of the People's Republic of China GB/T 34493—2017 Free-cutting Aluminum Alloy Extruded Bars

1. Standard Overview

This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules and markings, packaging, transportation, storage, and quality certificates and order (or contract) contents for free-cutting aluminum alloy extruded bars.

3. Chemical Composition Requirements

Table 2 lists the mass fractions of chemical components of different grades, including the specific content ranges of elements such as silicon, iron, and copper.

5. Cutting and shearing performance

The bar should have good cutting performance, and the chip length should not exceed 30 mm. Table 7 lists the shear strength requirements of different grades.
