1. Introduction

GB/T 34724-2017 standard "Method for Accelerated Determination of Corrosion Rate of Metals in Contact with Preserved Wood" aims to standardize the corrosion rate of metals in contact with preservative wood under laboratory conditions. The standard was issued in 2017, proposed by the State Forestry Administration, and managed by the National Technical Committee for Timber Standardization.

With the development of wood preservation technology in my country, the application of metal materials in the environment of preservative wood is becoming more and more extensive. In order to accurately evaluate the corrosion resistance of metals in different preservative-treated wood, it is urgent to establish unified test methods and standards.
