Key technical requirements
Key points for geometric accuracy inspection
The standard specifies 21 geometric accuracy inspection items for vertical five-axis machining center, among which:
- Linear motion straightness tolerance is set according to the stroke segment, such as 0.010mm when X≤500mm
- The spindle end face runout requirement is ≤0.010mm, and the tapered hole radial runout is ≤0.005mm
- The verticality of the rotating axis is inspected by a rectangular ruler, with a tolerance of 0.015/300mm
Positioning accuracy detection specification
According to GB/T 17421.2-2016 standard:
- Linear axis bidirectional repeat positioning accuracy: 0.012mm (≤500mm stroke)
- Rotary axis positioning accuracy: 28 arc seconds (360° range)
- Laser interferometer or equivalent accuracy equipment is required

The standard covers 11 machine tool structure types, the main differences are:

Implementation suggestions
- Preheating for 24 hours before acceptance
- When using M1 type test piece for working accuracy inspection, the cutting parameters need to be controlled:
- Feed rate for cast iron is 50mm/min
- Radial cutting depth is 0.2mm
- Software compensation function must be clearly marked in the inspection report
Analysis of standard evolution
Main improvements compared with the old version of the standard:
- Special inspection for swing spindle head structure is added
- Introduction of frustum cone specimen (M3) to inspect five-axis linkage performance
- Clear minimum tolerance conversion rules (not less than 0.005mm)
