Key technical requirements

Key points for geometric accuracy inspection

The standard specifies 21 geometric accuracy inspection items for vertical five-axis machining center, among which:

  • Linear motion straightness tolerance is set according to the stroke segment, such as 0.010mm when X≤500mm
  • The spindle end face runout requirement is ≤0.010mm, and the tapered hole radial runout is ≤0.005mm
  • The verticality of the rotating axis is inspected by a rectangular ruler, with a tolerance of 0.015/300mm

Positioning accuracy detection specification

According to GB/T 17421.2-2016 standard:

  • Linear axis bidirectional repeat positioning accuracy: 0.012mm (≤500mm stroke)
  • Rotary axis positioning accuracy: 28 arc seconds (360° range)
  • Laser interferometer or equivalent accuracy equipment is required

Implementation suggestions

  1. Preheating for 24 hours before acceptance
  2. When using M1 type test piece for working accuracy inspection, the cutting parameters need to be controlled:
    • Feed rate for cast iron is 50mm/min
    • Radial cutting depth is 0.2mm
  3. Software compensation function must be clearly marked in the inspection report

Analysis of standard evolution

Main improvements compared with the old version of the standard:

  • Special inspection for swing spindle head structure is added
  • Introduction of frustum cone specimen (M3) to inspect five-axis linkage performance
  • Clear minimum tolerance conversion rules (not less than 0.005mm)
