Introduction
National Standard of the People's Republic of China GB/T 35095—2018 Detailed Interpretation of Pi Tapes
What is Pi Tapes?
Pi tapes are a kind of tape-shaped measuring device, mainly used to measure the diameter of circular objects. It consists of one or more groups of ordered scale marks, with a main scale and a secondary scale, and achieves accurate measurement through coincidence deviation.
Comparison of standard frameworks
| Dimensions | GB/T 35095—2018 | Comparison of international standards | Industry application requirements |
|---|---|---|---|
| Graduation value | 0.01 mm, 0.02 mm, 0.05 mm | ISO 1078-1 | Precision manufacturing, machining |
| Measuring range | 9 mm ≤ D ≤ 5000 mm | Covering most industrial application requirements | Applicable to a variety of diameter detection scenarios |
| Basic parameter requirements | Scale width deviation, scale mark spacing, coincidence deviation, etc. | Consistent with international standards | Improve measurement accuracy and reliability |
Explanation of professional terms and practical application cases
Deviation of coincidence: refers to the difference between the "zero" mark on the secondary scale and a mark on the main scale when the "tail" mark on the secondary scale does not coincide with the corresponding mark on the main scale. In practical applications, this deviation must be controlled within ±0.03 mm to ensure measurement accuracy.
Implementation suggestions
1. Choose the appropriate π scale model: Select the appropriate graduation value and measurement range according to the diameter range and accuracy requirements of the object to be measured.
2. Ensure the inspection environment conditions: perform the inspection in an environment with a temperature of 20°C ±5°C and a humidity not exceeding 70% to reduce the influence of external factors on the measurement results.
3. Use inspection equipment that meets the requirements: use a tool microscope or a reading microscope to inspect the spacing and coincidence deviation of the scale marks to ensure that the inspection accuracy meets the standard requirements.
