Key performance test methods

Static bending strength test

The four-point bending method is used, and the universal mechanical testing machine is used. The specimen length must meet 50 times the basic thickness, and the loading speed is controlled below 14.7MPa/min. Calculation formula:

σ = 3PL/(2bh2)

Where P is the failure load, L is the support spacing, b is the specimen width, and h is the thickness.


Material structure requirements

  • The textures of adjacent layers of veneers should be perpendicular to each other
  • Symmetrical layers of veneers should be of the same species and thickness
  • The thickness of the surface layer accounts for 40%-70%
  • When the thickness is >24mm, the number of layers must be ≥7

Suggestions for the implementation of the standard

  1. Give priority to products that have passed the thermal durability test (800-900℃ flame for 10 minutes without separation)
  2. Pay attention to the performance difference between thickness classification (ES grade) and strength classification (F grade)
  3. The calibration certificate of testing equipment such as Bunsen burner should be checked during project acceptance
  4. Keep flat during storage to avoid moisture and deformation
