Background and Significance of the Standard

GB/T 35472 "Test Methods for Friction Elements of Wet Automatic Transmissions" is divided into seven parts, of which Part 7 specifically provides detailed regulations for belt friction test methods. This standard was jointly drafted by Hangzhou Zhenxing Friction Materials Co., Ltd. and other units and was released in 2017.

Technical requirements and implementation recommendations

1. Test equipment

The test equipment is a SZBL friction tester, and its performance and accuracy should comply with the provisions of GB/T 35472.2. The inertia configuration range is 0.1 kg·m² ~ 0.7 kg·m².

2. Typical test conditions and parameters

The test parameters include: piston area (7,000 mm² ~ 14,000 mm²), dynamic engagement speed (1,000 r/min ~ 10,000 r/min), oil temperature control (80°C ~ 150°C, error ±3°C), etc.

3. Experimental procedures and precautions

  • Before each test, the test chamber and oil storage tank must be cleaned and flushed with the specified test oil.
  • The change in friction plate thickness should be measured and recorded before and after the test.
  • The test cycle includes: oil temperature stabilization period, coasting period, pressurization period and cooling period.
