GB/T 35516-2017 "Light Diffusing Polycarbonate for LED Lamp Shades" is the first standard in my country specifically for light diffusing polycarbonate materials for LED lamp shades, filling a gap in the industry. The standard is managed by the Engineering Plastics Sub-Technical Committee of the National Plastics Standardization Technical Committee, and the main drafting units include Shanghai Rizhisheng New Technology Co., Ltd. and many other well-known companies.

Light diffusion polycarbonate (light diffusion polycarbonate) is a material made of transparent polycarbonate as the base material, with light diffusers and other additives added. It is mainly used in LED lampshades to improve light uniformity and reduce glare.

For example, in practical applications, luminous transmittance homogeneity (luminous transmittance homogeneity) is an important indicator for measuring material quality. It is evaluated by testing the transmittance of any 5 points and calculating the minimum value of its ratio to the average value.
