1. Background and significance of standard formulation

GB/T 35529-2017 Rubber Diaphragms for Town Gas Pressure Regulators was formulated to meet the demand for high-performance rubber diaphragms in my country's town gas transmission and distribution systems. This standard specifies the classification, size specifications, appearance quality, performance requirements, etc. of rubber diaphragms for town gas pressure regulators to ensure their reliability and safety under different working conditions.

3. Interpretation of the core content of the standard

3.1 Rubber material performance requirements

The minimum tensile strength of the rubber material is 10.0 MPa, and the minimum elongation at break is 400%. The Shore hardness is required to be within the range of 55±5 degrees to ensure the deformation recovery ability of the diaphragm at different temperatures.

3.2 Liquid resistance performance test

The liquid resistance test uses a type II specimen, which is pre-baked at 70℃ for 16 hours before being immersed in the test. The mass change rate and volume change rate must be controlled within ±20% and ±30% respectively to ensure the stability of the diaphragm in a complex medium environment.

3.3 Low temperature resistance

The ordinary diaphragm needs to be kept at -10℃ for 1 hour, and the low temperature diaphragm needs to be kept at -20℃ for 1 hour. After the test, visually check the surface for no fracture, crack or delamination.

  1. Manufacturers: Strictly purchase raw materials and control the production process in accordance with standard requirements, and establish a complete quality inspection system.
  2. Inspection agencies: Regularly sample and inspect finished products, focusing on the appearance quality and performance indicators of the diaphragm to ensure compliance with GB/T 35529-2017 requirements.
  3. User units: should check the product identification and test report before use to ensure that the diaphragm is suitable for specific working conditions.
  4. Technology upgrade: It is recommended that relevant companies pay attention to standard updates and technological progress, adjust production processes in a timely manner, and improve product performance.
