Cerium-aluminium alloy is an important rare earth alloy material, widely used in the production of cast and deformed aluminum alloys. The formulation of GB/T 36541—2018 standard provides scientific basis and technical support for standardizing the production and application of cerium-aluminium alloy.

The standard was proposed and managed by the National Rare Earth Standardization Technical Committee (SAC/TC229), and the main drafting units include Hunan Rare Earth Metal Materials Research Institute, Baotou Rare Earth Research Institute and other domestic authoritative institutions.
