1. Background and significance of standard formulation

European chervil (Knautia arvensis (L.) Coult.) belongs to the family Dipsaciaceae, native to Europe and now widely distributed. This species is listed as a quarantine pest for imported plants in my country due to its strong competitiveness and destructive impact on pastures. The formulation of GB/T 36835—2018 aims to standardize its quarantine identification methods, prevent its spread through trade, and protect agricultural production and ecosystem safety.

2. Technical requirements for quarantine and identification
