《GB/T 36837-2018咖啡黑长蠹检疫鉴定方法》由TC271(全国植物检疫标准化技术委员会)归口,主管部门为国家标准化管理委员会。
Introduction
1. Background and significance of standard formulation
The coffee borer (Apate monachus Fabricius) is an important quarantine pest that spreads over long distances mainly through wood, wood products and packaging materials. The formulation of this standard aims to standardize its quarantine identification methods and prevent it from causing harm to my country's agricultural and forestry resources.
2. Analysis of technological evolution
Based on the systematic taxonomy method, combined with morphological characteristics and biological information, this standard provides a scientific and systematic identification process. Compared with previous identification methods, this standard has significantly improved both detection methods and laboratory technology.
3. Basic Information of Black Borer of Coffee
| Chinese Name | Scientific Name | English Name | Host Plant | Geographical Distribution |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Black Borer of Coffee | Apate monachus Fabricius | twig borer, black borer | Acacia, pigeon bean, coffee tree, etc. | Africa, Asia, South America, etc. |
4. Detection and Rearing Methods
Testing process:For wood and wood products from the epidemic area, carefully check whether there are insect holes and powdery debris on the epidermis. Observe whether there are mother tunnels and daughter tunnels on the junction of phloem and sapwood.
Raising method:Place the collected eggs, larvae and other samples in the insect breeding room and raise them at 20-30℃. Further identification will be carried out after the adults emerge.
5. Laboratory identification steps
According to GB/T 36837-2018 standard, laboratory identification needs to combine morphological characteristics with taxonomic methods:
- Observe the characteristics of the head, antennae and pronotum of the adult.
- Check whether there are nodular or dentate protrusions on the side of the inclined surface of the elytra.
- Observe the tunnel damage of the host plant under a microscope.
6. Specimen preparation and preservation
Pin insertion and immersion are two common methods used in laboratories. Pin insertion is suitable for adults, while immersion is used for smaller samples such as larvae.
7. Implementation recommendations
To ensure the effective implementation of the standard:
- Strengthen the training of quarantine personnel to improve their ability to identify the morphological characteristics of the coffee black borer.
- Equipped with advanced testing equipment, such as stereo microscopes and molecular biology testing instruments.
- Establish a national monitoring network to share epidemic information in a timely manner.
