Analysis of the core content of the standard

This standard specifies the technical requirements for water treatment ozone generators using dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) technology, including the structural design, material selection and performance index control system of tubular/plate type ozone generating units.

Material and structural design points

Ozone concentration determination

Use the iodine titration method (arbitration method) or ultraviolet absorption method, and focus on the following:

  • Calibration error of sodium thiosulfate titrant ≤2%
  • Gas temperature and pressure correction calculation
  • Inlet-outlet flow conversion coefficient (see Appendix C)

Performance stability verification

After 4 hours of continuous operation, the fluctuation value of ozone concentration and power consumption within 2 hours is ≤5%

Selection and application guidance

  1. Select the corresponding output specification (5g/h-20kg/h) according to the processing scale
  2. Oxygen source type is suitable for high concentration demand scenarios
  3. The energy efficiency of medium and high frequency generators is better than that of industrial frequency equipment

Maintenance and management points

  • Regularly calibrate the ozone detector (at least once a year)
  • Cooling water hardness control ≤450mg/L (CaCO₃ meter)
  • Check the dielectric breakdown rate (annual loss ≤0.5%)

Compared with the earlier version, this standard has the following major improvements:

  • Added technical requirements for high frequency (>1000Hz) generators
  • Refined the parameter requirements for VPSA oxygen source
  • Introduced ultraviolet absorption method as the standard detection method
