Scope
This standard applies to three-pole AC load switches and isolating load switches with a rated voltage of 3.6 kV~40.5 kV, a frequency of 50 Hz, installed indoors or outdoors, and with rated closing and breaking currents. This standard also applies to single-pole switch-disconnectors for three-phase systems. This standard also applies to the operating mechanism of these load switches and their auxiliary equipment. The isolation function of the isolation load switch should also meet GB/T 1985-2014. This standard does not involve switch-disconnectors operated solely by human energy storage. The general principles and provisions in this standard also apply to single-pole switch-disconnectors in single-phase systems. The requirements for the insulation test and the making and breaking tests shall meet the requirements of the specified application occasions. This standard specifies the requirements for general-purpose, special-purpose and special-purpose load switches used in power distribution systems. Assuming that the opening and closing operations are performed according to the manufacturer's instructions, a closing operation can be performed immediately after the breaking operation, but the breaking operation cannot be performed immediately after the closing operation, because the breaking current may exceed the rated breaking of the load switch current.
