《GB/T 3830-2024软聚氯乙烯压延薄膜和片材》由TC48(全国塑料制品标准化技术委员会)归口,主管部门为中国轻工业联合会。

Introduction

1. Background of standard formulation and analysis of technological evolution

This standard is a comprehensive revision of GB/T 3830-2008, mainly updating the technical requirements, test methods and quality control of soft polyvinyl chloride calendered films and sheets. With the improvement of environmental awareness and the advancement of industry technology, the new standard has added restrictions on harmful substances such as phthalates and migratable elements, and optimized the test methods.

2. Comparison of product classification and framework

Category dimension Old standard (GB/T 3830—2008) New standard (GB/T 3830—2024)
Thickness classification Not specified in detail Clearly divided into film (≤0.250mm) and sheet (>0.250mm)
Purpose classification Covering inflation, industry, civil and miscellaneous, agriculture Added non-printed film/sheet classification, strengthened environmental protection requirements
Haze requirements No clear distinction between high transparency and general categories Haze of high transparency film/sheet ≤2%, new wetting tension test requirements

3. Interpretation of core technical requirements

Case study: Improvement of appearance and physical properties

Tensile strength test:The new standard requires the use of GB/T 1040.3 method, with a test speed of 200±10mm/min and the result retained to one decimal place. The accuracy and consistency of the test are ensured by optimizing the sample size and speed control.

Phthalates testing: Using the GB/T 22048 method, new limits for DBP, BBP and other substances were added, ≤1000mg/kg. This change responds to international environmental protection trends and limits the risk of migration of hazardous substances.

4. Implementation suggestions

  • Enterprises should establish a sound quality management system to ensure that every link from raw material procurement to finished product delivery meets the standard requirements.
  • During the research and development stage of new products, environmentally friendly additives should be given priority to reduce harm to the environment and human body.
  • It is recommended that enterprises conduct internal training regularly to familiarize themselves with the specific content and technical requirements of the new standards.
