Chapter 7 of the standard puts forward requirements for the full life cycle management of cross-border transport documents:

1. International road waybill must contain 17 core elements (see Appendix A)
2. Electronic pre-declaration of TIR carnet must be completed 24 hours in advance
3. The document must be kept for no less than 3 years after the end of the transport
