Introduction
Analysis of the core content of the standard
This standard specifies the test methods for 9 key indicators of industrial alkyl sulfonates: pH value, water content, free base/acid, petroleum ether extractables, total alkane sulfonates, alkane monosulfonates, sulfite, sulfate and chloride content. It is applicable to the detection of three types of products in powder, paste and liquid forms.
| Test Items | Method Standards | Technical Changes | Allowance Error |
|---|---|---|---|
| Water Content | GB/T11275 | Add Karl Fischer Method | ±0.2% |
| Sodium Chloride Content | GB/T3050 | Potentiometric Titration Method Replacement | ±0.4% |
| Alkane Monosulfonate | GB/T20199 | Modify the Two-Phase Titration Method | ±1.0% |
Analysis of key technical differences
Compared with ISO893:1989 international standard, this standard mainly makes three technical adjustments:
- Localization of detection methods: Adopt 8 Chinese standards to replace ISO standards, such as GB/T6365 to replace ISO4314
- Structural optimization: Delete redundant chapters, add new term definition chapters, and make detection methods a separate chapter
- Technical parameter adjustment: Add Karl Fischer method to water content determination, and increase the chloride detection accuracy to 0.001g
Application case: Petroleum ether extractable detection
A daily chemical company detects liquid class=instrument>alkyl sulfonate, according to the requirements of Chapter 8:
1. Weigh 80g of diluted sample (error ±0.05g)
2. Use the method in Appendix A of GB/T11989-2020 for extraction
3. When converting the raw material content through the formula, multiply by the reciprocal of the dilution factor
Recommendations for the implementation of the standard
Laboratory preparation requirements
- Equipped with a potentiometric titrator (GB/T3050 requirements)
- The oven needs to be accurately controlled at 130-135℃ (Appendix B requirements)
- Establish a sample splitting SOP (Chapter 4 requirements)
Detection process control
Special attention:
1. When the water content is greater than 5%, the azeotropic distillation method must be used (Chapter 6)
2. The total salt content must be determined by deducting the sodium chloride used for demulsification (Appendix B.5.1)
3. The sulfite test must be strictly controlled at 25±1℃ (Chapter 11)
