Interpretation of the core content of the standard

GB/T38906-2020 has established a facility classification system including five major categories, including seepage and retention, collection and utilization, and adopts a 6-digit hierarchical coding structure. Among them, permeable pavement (010101-010105) and biological retention facilities (010201-010204) account for 42% of the seepage and retention categories.

Taking permeable pavement as an example, the standard clearly states that it is applicable to sites with permeability coefficient>1×10-5m/s, and the performance of different materials varies significantly:

  • Permeable asphalt concrete: high construction cost (200-300 yuan/m²) but suitable for motor vehicle lanes
  • Grass-embedded permeable pavement: good landscape effect but maintenance cost increased by 30%

Standard implementation suggestions
